What is Dabi’s secret?

Dabi’s secret is that he is in fact the eldest son of the famed Lre Hero: Endeavor. His real identity is Toya Todoroki, the eldest son of Enji Todoroki, who is Endeavor. The revelation came during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc where Dabi manifested his Fire Quirk after fighting Hawks.

Initially, Endeavor and Shoto Todoroki had their suspicions, however, it was confirmed by Hawks when Endeavor demanded him to show his identity. The reason why Dabi kept this secret is still unknown.

However, it’s speculated that it may have been due to his resentment towards his father. He has spoken ill of Endeavor to Shoto during their fight and it seemed that he held no love for his father. After discovering the truth, Endeavor vowed to make up for the mistakes of the past and search for a way to save Dabi from his condition.

Why does Dabi’s fire burn him?

Dabi’s fire burns him because of his quirk, “Cremation”. He has pyrokinetic abilities that allow him to create and manipulate extremely hot blue flames. He primarily uses his quirk to incinerate his opponents, however it is also suggested that he has limited control over his quirk and will occasionally get burned.

The intense heat of the flames burns him even though he is generating it himself. He typically wears protective gear such as a mask, gloves, and fireproof clothing when using his quirk, however he is still susceptible to some minor burning, indicating that it is difficult for him to gain full control of his quirk.

Does Dabi have two quirks?

No, Dabi only has one Quirk. His Quirk is called Cremation, which is a Fire-based Quirk that allows him to turn his body into a blue flame, increasing his strength and durability. This Quirk allows him to emit powerful blasts of intense flames, as well as intense heat.

He often uses this power to incinerate his enemies and can even incinerate the clothes he is wearing. He can also use the ability to fly, allowing him to dodge and attack with greater agility. He has an array of other abilities as well, such as being able to control the temperature and duration of the flames he emits, creating smokescreens, and allowing him to camouflage himself.

While it is possible to replicate the effects of having two Quirks, Dabi does not actually have two Quirks – he only has Cremation.

This secrecy has allowed Dabi to operate behind the scenes, without directly confronting his enemies.

What is Dabi’s full backstory?

Dabi’s full backstory is a complicated one, as his true identity and past remain largely unknown to everyone except himself. Prior to the formation of the League of Villains and his adoption of the name Dabi, he was born Tōgata Mirio, a Quirkless child whose parents were both affiliated with the Hero Public Safety Commission.

Mirio grew up in a rather poor household that nonetheless provided him with a loving upbringing. Little is known of his childhood, though it appears that he was not particularly close to either of his parents, nor did he have any close friends growing up.

At the age of Eleven he suddenly gained his Quirk, Fire Breath, if anything this was the start of his inevitable descent into villainy.

Sometime between his discovering his Quirk and joining the League of Villains, he reconnected with his parents, although his father denied his attempts to have a proper conversation with him. His mother, who recognized his Quirk, comforted him and asked him to come home, but was disconcerted when she saw a murderous expression in his eyes and chose to turn her back on him then and there, asking him to never come back.

Unfortunately, it was too late, as Mirio was already drifting away and trying to embrace his dark side.

After leaving home, Mirio soon encountered the League of Villains, likely attracted to its violent and destructive ethos. He then took up the name ‘Dabi’ and joined the organisation, eagerly taking part in its activities and furthering his links to the criminal underworld.

As his career as a villain progressed, Dabi also gained a reputation as one of the most powerful and prominent members of the league, becoming increasingly popular with other villains.

Ultimately, Dabi’s backstory is largely unknown, and the full details of his past remain shrouded in mystery. It is generally accepted that he is the son of togata Hisashi, although this fact is still unconfirmed.

Whatever the case, his adopted identity as Dabi has enabled him to remain anonymous and further his malicious agenda, as he continues to wreak havoc throughout the criminal underworld.
