Who kills Surtur Ragnarok?

At the end of Ragnarok, Surtur is killed by the Asgardian thunder god Thor in a climactic battle. While Thor ultimately defeats Surtur, not before two Asgardian armies and many of both their allies fall in battle, it is Thor’s father Odin, king of Asgard, who finally delivers the killing blow.

During the battle, Odin imbues Thor’s hammer Mjölnir with Odin Force and sends Thor back to Asgard, where he is able to channel the hammer’s power and hurl it at Surtur, destroying him in the process.

While this act of defeat is necessary to protect Asgard from Surtur’s attempt to take control of the world, it solidifies Ragnarok as an event that marks the end of the old world and the dawn of the new.

What happens to Surtur in Ragnarok?

At the end of the movie Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Surtur is ultimately vanquished by Thor. After being successfully summoned to Asgard by Loki, Surtur is unable to take over the kingdom as Odin’s absence allowed the Allfather’s powers to be revoked.

Thor and Loki battle against Surtur and thanks to the huge amount of power imbued in his sword, Thor is able to defeat Surtur by striking him down with a massive lightning bolt.

The destruction caused by Surtur’s defeat caused the Realm Eternal, Asgard, to be completely razed to the ground. However, Thor was able to effectively use the power of the Tesseract device he had acquired earlier in the movie to transport a large majority of the Asgardian citizens to a remote part of the universe.

After his defeat, Surtur’s body is engulfed in flames, effectively ending the fire demon’s reign of terror in Asgard. As for the fate of Surtur himself, his death was noted by Hela who commented that the demon would be reborn from the ashes of the kingdom he attempted to overthrow.

Who wins Surtur or Hela?

It is difficult to say who would win in a fight between Surtur and Hela, as the outcome would depend on many factors, such as the specific skill sets of both characters, the strategy they employ during battle, any allies they might bring in to assist their efforts, and the environment they were battling in.

Surtur has immense power and is one of the most feared cosmic beings in the Marvel Universe, making him a dangerous opponent to face. His mystical sword, which is made of the same material as his body, is able to absorb and then unleash powerful energies, allowing him to wield impressive fire-based attacks.

In contrast, Hela has immense physical strength, as well as an impressive array of combat skills and mystical powers, making her a formidable opponent in her own right. Furthermore, she has direct control of the dead in her domain, allowing her to call upon legions of undead soldiers in battle.

Ultimately, this is an impossible question to answer definitively, as one would have to actually stage a battle between Surtur and Hela in order to determine who would prevail.

How Thor defeated Surtur?

Thor was able to defeat Surtur by outsmarting the demon. First, Thor used his hammer to separate Surtur’s crown from the demon. This created a portal in space-time, which allowed Thor to travel to the land of the ancient kings.

Thor, while in the ancient kings’ realm, was able to use his powers to reanimate the ancient kings’ ancient weapons—including a sword which housed an entire star.

After returning to Surtur’s realm, Thor used the sword to incapacitate the demon by channeling the full power of the star into him. This weakened Surtur enough so that Thor was able to destroy his crown with his hammer and then break Surtur’s giant form in half with the hammer.

Thor then succeeded in subduing Surtur, who was then forced to retreat and Thor was able to save Asgard and its citizens.

Is Thor powerful than Surtur?

The answer to this question depends on the context, as while Thor and Surtur both possess superhuman strength and powerful magical abilities, their relative power levels can vary depending on certain circumstances.

In a basic comparison, Thor is often considered more powerful than Surtur in terms of strength, durability and physical combat, with the god of thunder being unbeatable in direct confrontation and able to survive immense amounts of punishment.

Additionally, Thor’s strength increases when in contact with lightning, giving him the upper hand if sufficient resources are at his disposal.

However, Surtur possesses a key advantage over Thor in the form of his magical abilities. With his powerful Fire Sword, Surtur can draw upon the strength of the fire demon contained within it, granting him immense power as he is able to utilize unlimited amounts of energy.

Additionally, Surtur is virtually invulnerable and immortalized outside of his home realm, making him virtually unkillable. While Thor is still considerably powerful in comparison, these two elements would often grant Surtur the edge in a fight against Thor if all other factors are taken into account.

Why did Thor let Surtur destroy Asgard?

Thor chose to let Surtur destroy Asgard because he realized that Asgard’s fate was tied to the power of the Eternal Flame, giving Surtur the strength to lay waste to Asgard. Thor had come to the revelation that Asgard’s legacy was no longer a force of good in the Nine Realms and its citizens’ pursuit for dominance had become a source of great evil.

After his father’s death and the rise of Hela, the sister whom Odin had hidden from Asgard and the Nine Realms, Thor had determined that it was time to end Asgard in order to protect the Nine Realms from further suffering.

He made this decision with a heavy heart, as he was aware of all the lives that would be lost in the destruction of Asgard, and he wanted to prevent any more conflict, death and destruction. Therefore, he decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and release the Fire Demon Surtur in the hopes that it would end the reign of evil that had spread across Asgard and the Nine Realms once and for all.

Thor’s plan worked, although not without great cost and pain, and the Nine Realms are now free of the oppressive rule of Asgard.

Who is the most powerful than Thor?

The debate of who is more powerful than Thor will continue to be an ongoing conversation as Marvel releases new films, comics, and characters. It is difficult to definitively answer this question since the pantheon of Marvel characters is so vast and powerful.

However, there are many characters that some believe could potentially be more powerful than Thor.

First, there are many cosmic-level entities in the Marvel universe who possess incredible powers. Beyonders, Elder Gods, Celestials, Death, Infinity, and Eternity have god-like power or even transcendent powers, and could easily overpower Asgardian-level beings such as Thor.

Another potential option is the Infinity Stones, which are six powerful artifacts that could be used in unison to make a single being more powerful than any individual Marvel character. The stones are exceptionally powerful, and whoever wields them could be stronger than Thor.

Moreover, there are other Asgardians who come close to or even surpass Thor’s power. Characters such as Odin, Hela, and Surtur have god-like strength, and are powerful enough to stand against even Asgard’s strongest warrior, Thor.

Having said that, the answer to this question is ultimately subjective since the power levels of individual characters can change depending on their various accomplishments, storylines, and on-screen feats.

Therefore, it is up to the viewer to decide who the most powerful character is, but it’s safe to say that there are many beings who can overpower Thor.

Who can overpower Thor?

Thor is thought of as one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics; however no one can overpower him completely. Such as the Asgardian goddess Hela, the Incredible Hulk, the Phoenix Force and other Celestials, Grandmaster with prior knowledge and preparation, and the Beyonder.

Hela is an Asgardian goddess and the daughter of Loki, and she has been able to physically overpower Thor in the past, particularly when backed by cosmic forces, such as the Infinity Stones. The Incredible Hulk has also given Thor a run for his money on multiple occasions, physically and in terms of sheer strength.

The Phoenix Force is a cosmic entity capable of limitless power and can create a battlescape on its own; it has also proven to be a match for Thor in the past. Grandmaster and other celestials have been able to defeat Thor in the past; in the case of grandmaster, it was only with prior knowledge and preparation.

Lastly, the Beyonder has also been able to temporarily overpower Thor in the past, even though he is not an Asgardian or cosmic entity.

Overall, while no one can completely overpower Thor, there are a few characters who can come close.
